Nothing really???

Well, I don't really have much to blog about today. I just felt like blogging. This morning Ryan was going to surprise us with breakfast. However, to his surprise the freezer outside went out. We had to take EVERYTHING out of the freezer. Yes, this sucks!!! We managed to save a lot of the food but all of the sausage we made had to go. I guess we were a little tired of that anyway. Ryan went to work at the river while the girls and I went to Sears to buy a new freezer. I really don't care for the mall but on TAX FREE weekend... I HATE it. There were people everywhere. Are you really saving that much money? Anyway, we got a freezer and it will be delivered tomorrow. I'm sure Ryan's grandma will be happy since all of our food is in her freezer.

This is my last weekend before I go back to school. As much as I love being home with the girls, I always love the beginning of school. It's a chance to start all over. My classroom is going to be a wild theme. I'm thinking in more ways than one. We have moved from the old middle school to the old Elementary school. We are getting a brand new school in 2 years. This is will be cool.

Meet Pepper

Meet the newest member of our family... Pepper. As promised by the wonderful parents we are (or strive to be) we told the girls we would get a puppy after we returned from our vacation. So Friday night when we got home Karagen immediately asked when were we going to get one. Sunday afternoon Ryan was reading the classifieds in the paper. A family in Seguin was selling Blue Merel, Australian Shepperd puppies. Ryan has always wanted one so we were off. We fell in love with her. She is a wonderful puppy. We couldn't ask for a better pet for our family. The ironic thing is she was born on our anniversary, June 12th. We didn't realize that unitl after we bought her. Daisy Girl (the deer) and OJ have kinda tolerated her but I think they are growing on each other.

We survived Hurricane Dolly

I've been MIA for a little while. We took a family vacation to Rockport this week. Yes, I said this week hurricane and all. Monday and Tuesday were perfect. We couldn't have asked for better weather. We stayed at the pool Monday and Tuesday we went to the Rockport beach. If you have never been there and have kids, you need to go. I absolutely love Port A but with kids, the Rockport beach is the next best thing. The water is so clear and very shallow. The kids were able to walk out over 100 feet without a wave to knock them down. The beach is nice and clean.

Then Ole Dolly had to come on shore on Wednesday. The weather could have been a lot worse. We just had to sit around the house all day. The little girls had fun playing in the rain and running around on the garage. Finally, the weather cleared up Thursday and Friday. We tried to go to the beach on Thursday but it was too windy. So we went back to the condo to swim in the pool that over looks the bay.

What the little girls did while there was a hurricane around them. Thank goodness Dora was around. The big girls enjoyed a game or two of dominoes and spoon.

We had a great time and have many memories of this wonderful vacation. We've come to a conclusion that the next time there is a report of a hurricane coming into the area we will not be going.

Painting Pottery part 2

Just wanted to post the finished products from our painting session last week. They turned out really good, I think. Okay so I'm a little bias.

This is my creation. I wanted something to remeber this special time in our lives. I have now captured my 7 year old and 2 year old forever, if only their handprints and memories.

Karagen's made this cute box. Reagan's is the heart to hang on the wall. I just have to add the beads that go on top.

Fun, Fun, Fun

The girls and I have had so much for the last week. Ryan's been working at the river on the weekends so I've been keeping the girls very busy. Wednesday Karagen and I went to Fiesta Texas. We had a blast. As much as I love going with the entire family, it was nice not having to take all kinds of stuff with us. Then yesterday my sister and I took the girls to an Art Studio in New Braunfels. The kids pick a piece to paint and the colors to paint with. Karagen picked a rainbow box, Reagan chose a heart to hang on the wall and I wanted a plate with the girls hand prints. Then the fun begins! Paint, Paint and more paint. You leave the art their for a week to cure and then enjoy. I can't wait to see what it will look like. We are having so much fun. I don't want summer to end.

Daisey the Deer has been found!

I'm sure you all lost sleep over this. HA HA After dinner last night Karagen and Ryan went looking for it and found it by the tank. Karagen said as soon as it heard her voice it came running up to her. Thank Goodness! The poor little girl has had a lot of mishaps with her animals. Last summer we got a baby goat to feed, from Ryan's Grandma. We feed it all summer so we decided it was time for it to be with other goats. Well around Easter someone thought this little goat would taste really good on the BBQ pit. They killed it right in front of Oma's house in the middle of the night. They left all the remains there as if to tell us they had done it. We told her that dogs got it after months of her thinking that she sees it with the other goats. So then my Omie give us 2 goats they we can feed. After several days they got out with the other goats. So we left them there. Ryan came home one afternoon to find some dogs has killed Karagen's goat. Reagan's was still alive. Moral of this story is we aren't excepting anymore animals for our Grandmas.

So when I thought this deer was gone I told Ryan "No more animals! This is killing her." This morning we thought all was lost again but we found it by the tank. I think this might be it's new hang out. Wow has that for a morning post.
